Reflection:
Okonkwo is a “man.” With him he carries all the charecteristics a real man in the Ibo culture has. He is a hard worker which is why he is a successful farmer. His father was the a complete opposite person, and Okonkwo’s foil. The clan knew his father as a weak man, “a woman.” His yam seeds never gave fruit ans his family was forced to suffer. Many villagers loaned him money that he never repaid. For this and many other reasons Okonkwo hated him.
